In ante and play, a bet is first placed on the ante. The player then receives three cards.
At this point, the player has decisions to make. The player views the cards and then decides whether to fold or to continue.
It should be noted that a player who folds loses the ante bet. It should also be taken into consideration that if any winnings are due from the pairplus game these are forfeited if a player folds at this stage.
A player that wishes to continue in ante and play, places a bet in an amount that is equal to the ante bet. Players that continue now play against the dealer's hand.
In order for the dealer's hand to qualify in ante and play, the dealer's hand should contain a queen. The outcome of the game is then determined according to the following situations.
In the case where the dealer's hand qualifies and then player's hand wins, then both the ante and play bets produce wins.
In the case where the dealer's hand does not qualify, then the ante produces a win, while the play wager is returned to the player.
In the event that the dealer's hand qualifies and the dealer's hand wins, then the player loses both the ante and play bets.
In the event that the dealer's hand qualifies and produces a tie with the player's hand then the ante and play bets are carried on to the next game.
